Who we are

SilaiBuddy is a business-management application for boutiques and tailoring shops, operated by SMARTCABUDDY, Bajwa Market, Aman Nagar, Kapurthala, Punjab 144601, India ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Your account details — shop name, your name, email, mobile number and password (stored only as a secure hash — we cannot see your password).
• Your shop's business data — the customers, measurements, designs, orders, bills, stock, staff and payroll records that you enter to run your shop. This may include your customers' personal details (names, phone numbers, measurements, photos, voice notes).
• Basic technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, time, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To provide the service — everything you enter exists solely so your shop can use it.
• To support you — our team may access your account details or (with your consent) your data when you ask for help.
• To operate the platform — plan, seat and trial administration, and service messages about your account.

We do not sell your data or your customers' data. Ever. We do not use your shop's business data for advertising.

Your customers' data — you are in charge

The customer information inside your shop's account belongs to your business. You are responsible for collecting it lawfully and using it appropriately (including obtaining consent for messages, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework). We act as the technology provider that stores and processes it on your instructions.

How we protect it

• Every shop's data is strictly separated — no shop can ever see another shop's records.
• All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Design photos and voice notes are served only through your authenticated login, never on public links.
• Servers are hosted in reputable data centres with automatic backups, so your data survives hardware failure.
• Role-based access inside your shop — staff see only what their role allows.

Retention & your rights

• Your data is retained while your account is active. If your account closes, we retain data for a reasonable wind-down period (so you can return or export) and then delete it.
• You may request a copy (export) of your shop's data, correction of your account details, or deletion of your account at any time — write to us at the contact below.

Cookies & third parties

The app uses only essential browser storage to keep you signed in — no advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts on the marketing site. We use no third-party analytics on your business data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note the new effective date here and inform active accounts.
